These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "the user", whether a diver or a business operator) and Coral Playground ("Coral Playground", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of https://coralplayground.com and any related applications, content, and services (together, the "Platform").

By creating an account, making a booking, listing a business, or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Who we are and what we do

Coral Playground is an online marketplace that helps recreational divers discover and book diving experiences — day trips, liveaboard voyages, and certification courses — primarily in the Red Sea and Egypt, and connects them with independent dive centres and liveaboard operators ("Operators").

Coral Playground is an intermediary. The actual diving services are provided by the Operator, not by us. When you book, you enter into a direct contract with the Operator for the experience. We are responsible for operating the Platform, facilitating bookings, and collecting the booking deposit; we are not the provider of the dive, course, or voyage and do not own, charter, or crew any vessel.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking or hold an account. Minors may dive only where permitted by the Operator's policy and the relevant certifying agency, and must be booked by a responsible adult.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date — including any information about certification level, dive experience, and medical fitness that an Operator requires.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. Bookings, payments, and the deposit

  • Prices are set by Operators and shown on each listing. Unless stated otherwise, prices are displayed in the currency selected on the listing.
  • At checkout you pay a deposit to secure your booking. This deposit equals Coral Playground's platform commission and is collected securely via Stripe. The remaining balance is payable directly to the Operator, normally on arrival, unless the listing states otherwise.
  • A booking is confirmed only once payment of the deposit has been successfully processed and you have received a confirmation.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the full details of an experience — including dates, inclusions, prerequisites, and the Operator's specific policies — before booking.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, a booking cancelled on or before the standard cancellation window before the experience start date is eligible for a full refund of the deposit; cancellations made within that window are non-refundable by default. Operators may offer more generous terms, which are shown on the listing.

5. Diver responsibilities, health, and assumption of risk

Scuba diving and related activities are inherently risky. By booking, you acknowledge and accept those risks. You agree that you will:

  • Hold the certification level required for the experience and be able to provide proof on request.
  • Truthfully disclose your dive experience and any medical condition that may affect your fitness to dive, and complete any medical questionnaire the Operator requires. The Operator may refuse participation on safety grounds, and no refund is owed where you have misrepresented your fitness or certification.
  • Follow all safety briefings, Operator instructions, and the directions of dive guides and crew.
  • Carry appropriate dive insurance and trip-cancellation insurance. We strongly recommend both. Some Operators require active dive insurance as a condition of boarding.

You participate in all activities at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and conduct.

6. Operator obligations

Operators who list on the Platform represent and warrant that they hold all licences, permits, insurance, and certifications required to lawfully operate; that their listings are accurate and not misleading; that they will honour confirmed bookings and the published policies; and that they will operate to recognised diving-industry safety standards. Operators are solely responsible for the safe and lawful delivery of their services.

7. Reviews and user contributions

You may post reviews, dive logs, photos, and other content. You retain ownership of your content but grant Coral Playground a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote it on and in connection with the Platform. You are responsible for your content and must not post anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, misleading, or that you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

8. Prohibited activities

You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; circumvent the booking or payment system to avoid commission; misrepresent your identity, certification, or fitness; scrape, copy, or republish Platform content without permission; interfere with the security or operation of the Platform; or harass, threaten, or harm other users, Operators, or staff.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform, its content, design, software, trademarks, and logos are owned by or licensed to Coral Playground and are protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial licence to use the Platform. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Dive-site data, descriptions, and imagery may be subject to additional licences.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that listings, availability, dive-site information, or third-party content are complete, accurate, or error-free. We are not a party to the dive contract and do not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any Operator's services. Your use of the Platform and participation in any experience is at your own risk, subject to your non-excludable rights under applicable consumer law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coral Playground is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any injury, death, loss, or damage arising from the acts or omissions of an Operator or from your participation in any diving activity. Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability is limited to the amount of the deposit you paid to us for the booking in question. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coral Playground and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision above. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Coral Playground's place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. Disputes should first be raised with our support team so we can try to resolve them informally.
