The blue triggerfish is a reef-associated species that favours coastal waters, shallow lagoons, and seaward reefs at depths of 30 to 50 m (98 to 164 ft).
Behaviour
Like most triggerfishes, it preys on shellfish, small crustaceans, and other bottom-dwelling invertebrates.
